Saskatchewan - Provincial Nomination Program
People visiting or living in Saskatchewan find it one of the most beautiful places to call home. Saskatchewan has something or else for everybody – hip-hop culture for the young, scenic beauty for nature lovers, quite lush gardens for those who want to relax and a aggressive economic demand of skilled workers for those who want to work.
Keeping in mind all these attributes, the province of Saskatchewan has introduced Saskatchewan Provincial Nomination Program to expedite applications of those who wish to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
The program offers entry to the province under the following five categories:
Professionals who have relevant work experience and can contribute to the overall economic growth of the province. The requirement for skilled worker nomination program is to have a permanent job offer letter for a Saskatchewan employer. The category is further divided into 3 sub categories – workers or professionals, existing work permit and critical occupation.
The Entrepreneur Category has been introduced to improve processing times and attract potential investors to the province. Good investment bring along creation of new jobs, which is a necessity for any economic society to thrive.
Members of Family
Usually the individuals like their family members to come and live in the same province as theirs. To help such individuals, Saskatchewan provincial government extends support in the form of this program.
Saskatchewan has availability of huge farming land. Under the farm owners’ category, those can apply who have experience in farming and have substantial capital with them to invest in such kind of operations.
This category is to allow internationally-trained health professionals such as doctors, nurses and other medical staff to apply for the permanent residency. However, those who apply must have been a work experience of a Saskatchewan medical facility for minimum of six months.
Under this category, SINP can successfully nominate foreign workers currently working in the province in any one of the following categories: food counter attendant/kitchen helper, food/beverage server or housekeeping or cleaning staff.
Saskatchewan is a widely spread province and has a network of roads that connect every corner of it with each other. The companies often require drivers that can take cargo and other consignments from one place to other. The trucking firms bring workers to Saskatchewan for such needs. The requirement to apply under this category is a high school diploma or a valid certificate of on-the-job training under Canada's temporary service foreign worker policy.
